Benefits of a Kanga Loader

In Australia, where days are warmer, with shorter working hours, employers are keen on ways of improving and increasing their employees’ productivity levels, whilst being considerate to the demands/welfare of working in such an arid environment and the financial implications of shorter/less productive working days. An obvious repercussion was to identify a solution where labour (an expensive/valuable commodity) was maximised whilst on site.

In the early 1980’s, an innovative Australian engineering company embarked on making a motorised wheelbarrow which subsequently evolved into becoming the Kanga Loader, the world’s first stand on mini skid steer loader, which today almost 30 years later is still acclaimed as being the world’s number one.

In the UK and Europe where changing manual handling regulations are coming increasingly to the fore and employers have a legal obligation to control or avoid risk associated with such tasks. The law does not include maximum weight limits, but it does however state that after asking the question “Does the load need to be moved at all?” if so “Can it be moved mechanically?”  Another question raised is “If moved manually, what are the risks ?”. An employer can carry out a time consuming risk assessment or decide to carry out the task mechanically. Because the is a  Kanga multi tasking tool, it  goes a long way to alleviating such risks associated with manual lifting, providing reliable, mechanical assistance in a variety of work places.

The Kanga Loader also significantly reduces exposure to Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) by placing the operator a safe distance from the working/business end of the working attachment, yet close enough to allow the operator to see exactly what is going on from the elevated operating position. The effects of HAV/vibration white finger are becoming more commonly recognised as a serious debilitating condition resulting from exposure to machines/implements whose vibratory action impacts on the long term health of the operator, indeed it is the fastest growing work related claims for injury.

The Kanga range has a Safe Work Lift (SWL) ranging from a 100kg to 350kg from ground level, to a height ranging from 1185mm to 2560mm.

The Kanga Loader can bore a variety of sized post holes from 150mm (6”) to 900mm (30”) to a depth of 1m, at productivity levels certainly not obtainable by even the hardest working employee/individual.

The Kanga Loader is in essence a powerful mobile hydraulic power pack, capable of running a multitude of hydraulically powered tools/implements with compatible flow rates. Indeed, Kanga custom engineer more than 60 such high performing, labour saving attachments for use with their range of machinery.

The Kanga Loader is available in wheeled or tracked format, with excellent ground clearance, providing an unrivalled level of traction, enabling it to be used on a variety of terrains.

Changing attachments couldn’t be easier and can be achieved in less than a minute by an experienced operator and is a simple, non mechanical operation.

The Kanga Loader removes operator fatigue and significantly increases productivity levels, and when used for even the minimum of frequency each month can prove to be self financing and your most valued workmate.
