Kanga - It's Kids Play

Business ups and downs are often referred to as ‘what you win on the swings you might lose on the roundabouts’. For Charlie Clayton and his son Paul it’s all swings and roundabouts, all the time. They are playground installers and carry out their business throughout the UK, Ireland and have even installed a playground over in Austria.

Charlie has been in business, firstly as Playground Services Ltd, and latterly as PGS Installations Ltd for over 12 years, but it is the machine he bought 2 years ago that has really assisted his trade in the recent past.

‘We purchased a Kanga Kid. It’s a fantastic machine which has effectively saved me labour and time. Prior to getting it we used to do all of the jobs it now does, by hand. We can now drill holes from 6” right up to 20” and when you’re dealing with all aspects of playground installation it is a real help. It has a big Honda engine and is so versatile. It can have a trenching machine attached, or cement mixer or rotovator. It’s also ideal for getting into tight entrances to playgrounds and can be transported in the transit van.’
